- Replace the cabin filter at least once every six months, in early spring and autumn seasons.

Carry out replacement in the following order:
- Step 1Move the passenger seat fully backwards.Step 2Unscrew the fasteners of the bottom trim panel.
- Step 3Remove the bottom cover of the glove box.
- Step 4Remove the cabin filter housing cover.
- Step 5Remove the cabin filter.Replacement: pollen filter – VW GOLF PLUS (5M1, 521). Tip from AUTODOC experts:Do not attempt to clean and reuse the filter - it will affect the quality of air cleaning inside the car.
- Step 6Install the cabin filter to its mounting seat.Replacement: pollen filter – VW GOLF PLUS (5M1, 521). AUTODOC experts recommend:Follow the air flow direction arrow on the filter.Check out the correct location of the filter element. Do not skew.Attention! Use quality filters – VW GOLF PLUS (5M1, 521).
- Step 7Reinstall the cabin filter housing cover. Position the part using the guides and lock the fasteners.
