Replacement: pollen filter – SKODA Octavia I Kasten / Kombi (1U5). Tools you might need:
- Replace the cabin filter at least once every six months, in early spring and autumn seasons.
- Follow the terms, recommendations and requirements of the part operation provided by the manufacturer.
- If the air flow into the cabin has sharply reduced, replace the filter before a scheduled maintenance.
- Please note: all work on the car – SKODA Octavia I Kasten / Kombi (1U5) – should be done with the engine switched off.
Carry out replacement in the following order:
- Step 1Open the hood.Step 2Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.Step 3Remove the rubber strip.
- Step 4Unscrew the plastic panel fasteners. Use a Phillips screwdriver.
- Step 5Remove the plastic panel.
- Step 6Press the pollen filter retaining clips to release them.
- Step 7Remove the cabin filter.Replacement: pollen filter – SKODA Octavia I Kasten / Kombi (1U5). Tip from AUTODOC:Do not attempt to clean and reuse the filter - it will affect the quality of air cleaning inside the car.
- Step 8Switch on the air recirculation mode.Step 9Clean the mounting seat of the cabin filter.
- Step 10Install a new filter element into the frame.
- Step 11Install the cabin filter to its mounting seat.Replacement: pollen filter – SKODA Octavia I Kasten / Kombi (1U5). AUTODOC recommends:Check out the correct location of the filter element. Do not skew.Follow the air flow direction arrow on the filter.Attention! Use quality filters – SKODA Octavia I Kasten / Kombi (1U5).
