        Fuel filter for Transporter / Caravelle T3 Minibus Diesel (50 hp)
      
        Fuel filter for Transporter / Caravelle T3 Minibus Diesel (70 hp)
      
        Fuel filter for Transporter / Caravelle T3 Minibus Diesel (57 hp)
      
        Fuel filter for Transporter / Caravelle T3 Minibus Diesel (70 hp)

Replacement: fuel filter – VW TRANSPORTER III Bus. Tools you need:

                        All-purpose cleaning spray
                      
                        Drive socket # 7 
                      
                        Drive socket # 13 
                      
                        Ratchet wrench
                      
                        Round-nose pliers
                      
                        Hand-operated fluid syringe

                        Fender cover

Replacement: fuel filter – VW TRANSPORTER III Bus. AUTODOC recommends:

Ensure adequate ventilation of the workplace. Fuel vapors are poisonous.
All work should be done with the engine stopped.

Replacement: fuel filter – VW TRANSPORTER III Bus. Recommended sequence of steps:

Step 1

Open the hood.

Step 2

Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.

Step 3

Clean the fasteners of the fuel supply lines. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.
Step 4

Loosen the fuel filter mounting. Use a drive socket #13. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 5

Loosen the fuel supply lines fastening to the fuel filter. Use a drive socket #7. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 6

Disconnect the fuel supply lines from the fuel filter. Use round-nose pliers.

Replacement: fuel filter – VW TRANSPORTER III Bus. Tip:
Be careful! Fuel may leak from the filter housing and hoses.
Step 7

Remove the fuel line retaining clip. Use round-nose pliers.
Step 8

Remove the fuel line.
Step 9

Remove the fuel filter.
Step 10

Install a new fuel filter.

AUTODOC recommends:
VW TRANSPORTER III Bus – It's important to only use high-quality filters.
Step 11

Clean the fuel lines. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.
Step 12

Install the fuel line.
Step 13

Install the fuel line retaining clip.
Step 14

Install the fuel line.
Step 15

Screw the fastener attaching the fuel supply line to the fuel filter housing. Use a drive socket #7. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 16

Fill the new filter with fuel. Use a hand-operated fluid syringe.
Step 17

Install the fuel line.
Step 18

Screw the fastener attaching the fuel supply line to the fuel filter housing. Use a drive socket #7. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 19

Screw in the fuel filter mounting bracket. Use a drive socket #13. Use a ratchet wrench.

Step 20

Run the engine for a few minutes. This is necessary in order to make sure that the component operates properly.

Step 21

Shut off the engine.

Step 22

Remove the fender protection cover.

Step 23

Close the hood.
