Replacement: fuel filter – PEUGEOT 308 SW I Kasten / Kombi (4E_). Tools you might need:

                        All-purpose cleaning spray
                      
                        Drive socket # 27 
                      
                        Ratchet wrench
                      
                        Flat Screwdriver
                      
                        Clip removal tool
                      
                        Hand-operated fluid syringe

                        Fluid container
                      
                        Fender cover

Replacement: fuel filter – PEUGEOT 308 SW I Kasten / Kombi (4E_). AUTODOC experts recommend:

Ensure adequate ventilation of the workplace. Fuel vapors are poisonous.
All work should be done with the engine stopped.

Replacement: fuel filter – PEUGEOT 308 SW I Kasten / Kombi (4E_). Recommended sequence of steps:

Step 1

Open the hood.

Step 2

Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.

Step 3

Remove the engine cover.

AUTODOC recommends:
Replacement: fuel filter – PEUGEOT 308 SW I Kasten / Kombi (4E_). To avoid damaging the part during installation, do not use excessive force.
Step 4

Clean the fasteners of the fuel supply lines. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.
Step 5

Detach the fuel pressure sensor connector. Use a flat screwdriver.
Step 6

Squeeze the clips and detach the fuel supply lines from the fuel filter housing. Use a flat screwdriver. Use a clip removal tool.

Replacement: fuel filter – PEUGEOT 308 SW I Kasten / Kombi (4E_). Tip:
Be careful! Fuel may leak from the filter housing and hoses.
Step 7

Close the fuel lines with caps.
Step 8

Unscrew the fasteners of the fuel filter housing cover. Use a drive socket #27. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 9

Remove the fuel filter cover with the old filter cartridge attached.
Step 10

Prepare a container for fluids.

Step 11

Put the fuel filter cover with the old filter cartridge into a container.
Step 12

Pump the fuel out of the fuel filter housing. Use a hand-operated fluid syringe.
Step 13

Remove the old sealing ring. Use a flat screwdriver.
Step 14

Remove the fuel filter.
Step 15

Clean the fuel filter housing and the cover. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.
Step 16

Install the new sealing ring.
Step 17

Install a new fuel filter.

Replacement: fuel filter – PEUGEOT 308 SW I Kasten / Kombi (4E_). AUTODOC recommends:
Make sure that the fuel filter is positioned correctly. Consider the fuel flow direction mark.During installation, take care to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the fuel filter housing.Take care to only use quality filters.
Step 18

Install the fuel filter cover with the filter cartridge attached.
Step 19

Tighten the fasteners of the fuel filter cover. Use a drive socket #27. Use a ratchet wrench. Remove the caps from the fuel lines.
Step 20

Connect the fuel lines to the fuel filter and lock the fastening clips.
Step 21

Attach the fuel pressure sensor connector.
Step 22

Clean the fuel lines. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.
Step 23

Press the fuel primer pump several times until it gets hard.
Step 24

Install the engine cover and secure it.

Replacement: fuel filter – PEUGEOT 308 SW I Kasten / Kombi (4E_). Professionals recommend:
Make sure the engine cover is properly seated. It should not be displaced with respect to the guiding fasteners.Do not apply excessive force when installing the part. Otherwise you may damage the fasteners.
Step 25

Run the engine for a few minutes. This is necessary in order to make sure that the component operates properly.

Step 26

Shut off the engine.

Step 27

Remove the fender protection cover.

Step 28

Close the hood.

Replacement: fuel filter – PEUGEOT 308 SW I Kasten / Kombi (4E_). Tip from AUTODOC:
To protect the environment from pollution, be sure to dispose of the used filters at special collection points.
