Replacement: fuel filter – MERCEDES-BENZ VANEO (414). Tip from AUTODOC:
- Ensure adequate ventilation of the workplace. Fuel vapors are poisonous.
- Please note: all work on the car – MERCEDES-BENZ VANEO (414) – should be done with the engine switched off.
Carry out replacement in the following order:
- Step 1Open the bonnet.Step 2Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.Step 3Prepare a container for fluids.Step 4Loosen the fastening clamp of the fuel filter pipe. Use a Phillips screwdriver.
- Step 5Disconnect the pipe from the fuel filter.
- Step 6Remove the fuel pressure sensor. Use a crowbar.
- Step 7Unscrew the fastener attaching the fuel supply line to the fuel filter housing. Use a Phillips screwdriver.AUTODOC recommends:Be careful! Fuel may leak from the filter housing and hoses.
- Step 8Loosen the fuel filter mounting. Use a drive socket #10. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 9Disconnect the fuel supply lines from the fuel filter.
- Step 10Remove the fuel filter. Put the old filter cartridge in the container.
- Step 11Install a new fuel filter.Replacement: fuel filter – MERCEDES-BENZ VANEO (414). Tip from AUTODOC experts:Make sure that the fuel filter is positioned correctly. Consider the fuel flow direction mark.During installation, take care to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the fuel filter housing.Attention! Use quality filters – MERCEDES-BENZ VANEO (414).
- Step 12Connect the fuel supply lines to the fuel filter.
- Step 13Install the fuel pressure sensor.
