How to change fuel filter CITROËN BERLINGO M [TUTORIAL AUTODOC]
All the parts you need to replace – Fuel Filter for Berlingo / Berlingo First Van (M_) and other CITROËN models
Replacement: fuel filter – Citroën Berlingo M. Tip from AUTODOC:
Ensure adequate ventilation of the workplace. Fuel vapors are poisonous.
Please note: all work on the car – Citroën Berlingo M – should be done with the engine switched off.
Carry out replacement in the following order:
Step 1
Open the hood.
Step 2
Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.
Step 3
Clean the fuel filter housing and the cover. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.
Step 4
Unscrew the fasteners of the fuel filter cover. Use HEX No.H4. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 5
Remove the fuel filter housing cover.
Step 6
Remove the fuel filter.
Replacement: fuel filter – Citroën Berlingo M. AUTODOC recommends:
Be careful! Fuel may leak from the filter housing and hoses.
Step 7
Put the old filter cartridge in the container.
Step 8
Pump the fuel out of the fuel filter housing. Use a hand-operated fluid syringe.
Step 9
Install a new fuel filter.
AUTODOC recommends:
Make sure that the fuel filter is positioned correctly. Consider the fuel flow direction mark.During installation, take care to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the fuel filter housing.Citroën Berlingo M – It's important to only use high-quality car parts.
Step 10
Install and tighten the cap of the fuel filter housing.
Step 11
Tighten the fasteners of the fuel filter housing cover. Use HEX No.H4. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 9 Nm torque.
Step 12
Clean the fuel filter housing and the cover. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.
Step 13
Prime the fuel system manually.
Step 14
Run the engine for a few minutes. This is necessary in order to make sure that the component operates properly.

To protect the environment from pollution, be sure to dispose of the used filters at special collection points.
Step 15
Shut off the engine.
Step 16
Remove the fender protection cover.
Step 17
Close the hood.
