- Step 1Open the car door.
- Step 2Detach the door handle trim panel. Use a plastic trim tool.AUTODOC recommends:Replacement: window regulator – Seat Leon 1M1. To avoid damaging the part when removing it, do not use excessive force.
- Step 3Unscrew the door card fasteners. Use a Phillips screwdriver.
- Step 4Detach the door card. Use a plastic trim tool.Replacement: window regulator – Seat Leon 1M1. AUTODOC recommends:Do not apply excessive force when removing the part. Otherwise you may damage it.
- Step 5Detach the door lock actuator cable.
- Step 6Detach the bulb connector.
- Step 7Detach the speaker connector.
- Step 8Remove the covers from the window raiser fasteners. Use a plastic trim tool.
- Step 9Switch on the ignition.Step 10Lower the window glass.Replacement: window regulator – Seat Leon 1M1. Professionals recommend:Continue lowering the window glass until its fasteners become visible.
- Step 11Switch off the ignition.Step 12Detach the connector for the power window switch module.
- Step 13Unscrew the window glass fasteners. Use a drive socket #10. Use a ratchet wrench.AUTODOC recommends:To avoid injury, hold the glass when unscrewing the fasteners.
- Step 14Raise the window glass all the way up and secure it on the door frame with masking tape.Replacement: window regulator – Seat Leon 1M1. Tip from AUTODOC experts:To avoid injury, hold the glass when raising it.
- Step 15Detach the power mirror switch connector.
- Step 16Detach the speaker connector.
- Step 17Detach the power window connector.
- Step 18Detach the power window wiring harness. Use a clip removal tool.
- Step 19Remove the door panel covers. Use a plastic trim tool.
- Step 20Unscrew the door panel fasteners. Use a drive socket #10. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 21Unscrew the door lock fasteners. Use XZN #8. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 22Remove the door panel together with the window regulator linkage.
- Step 23Detach the door lock connector.
- Step 24Remove the covers from the window raiser fasteners. Use a plastic trim tool.
- Step 25Install the covers on the window raiser fasteners.Step 26Unscrew the fasteners of the power window motor. Use Torx T30. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 27Remove the power window motor.
- Step 28Install the power window motor.
- Step 29Screw in the power window motor fasteners. Use Torx T30. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 30Unscrew the speaker's fasteners. Use a drive socket #8. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 31Remove the speaker.
- Step 32Install the speaker.
- Step 33Screw in the speaker's fasteners. Use a drive socket #8. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 34Remove the connector holder.
- Step 35Install the connector holder on the new door panel.
- Step 36Install the door panel together with the window regulator linkage.
- Step 37Treat the door lock connector. Use dielectric grease.
- Step 38Attach the door lock connector.
- Step 39Screw in the door panel fasteners. Use a drive socket #10. Use a ratchet wrench.
