AUTODOC recommends:
- Replace the stabiliser links on ALFA ROMEO SPIDER (939) in pairs.
- The replacement procedure is identical for both stabiliser links on the same axle.
- All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: anti roll bar links – ALFA ROMEO SPIDER (939). Recommended sequence of steps:
- Step 1Secure the wheels with chocks.
- Step 2Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17.
- Step 3Raise the front of the car and secure on supports.Step 4Unscrew the wheel bolts.AUTODOC recommends:Important! Hold the wheel while unscrewing the fastening bolts. ALFA ROMEO SPIDER (939)
- Step 5Remove the wheel.
- Step 6Clean the stabiliser link fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
- Step 7Undo the fastening nut that attaches the stabilizer link to the shock absorber fork. Use a drive socket #18.
- Step 8Clean the stabiliser link fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
- Step 9Unscrew the fasteners connecting the stabiliser link to the stabiliser bar. Use a combination spanner #18. Use HEX No.H6.
- Step 10Remove the stabilizer rod.Replacement: anti roll bar links – ALFA ROMEO SPIDER (939). Tip from AUTODOC experts:Examine stabiliser bushes. Replace them if needed.
- Step 11Install a new rod, tighten the fasteners. Use a combination spanner #18. Use HEX No.H6.
