How to change oil filter and engine oil on MERCEDES W210 [TUTORIAL AUTODOC]

Replacement: engine oil and filter – Mercedes W210. Tip:
- Replace the oil filter every time when changing motor oil.
- Wear gloves to prevent contact with hot liquid.
- All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: engine oil and filter – Mercedes W210. Use the following procedure:
- Step 1Open the bonnet.
- Step 2Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.
- Step 3Pull up the oil dipstick.
- Step 4Unscrew the oil filler plug.
- Step 5Clean the oil filter housing cap. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.
- Step 6Unscrew the filter housing cap together with the old filter element. Use the 76-14F socket. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 7Take the oil filter out of its housing.
- Step 8Put the old oil filter in the container.
- Step 9Cover the oil filter housing with a clean cloth to prevent dirt and foreign objects from getting into the system.
- Step 10Lift the car using a jack or place it over an inspection pit.Replacement: engine oil and filter – Mercedes W210. AUTODOC experts recommend:The vehicle must be on a level surface, but if it is at an angle, the drain plug must be at the lowest point.
- Step 11Clean the area of the oil pan drainage hole. Use a wire brush. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.
- Step 12Put a waste oil container with at least 7 l capacity under the drainage hole.
- Step 13Unscrew the drain plug. Use a drive socket #13. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 14Drain the used oil.Replacement: engine oil and filter – Mercedes W210. AUTODOC recommends:Caution! The oil may be hot.Wait until the oil has completely drained from the drainage hole.
- Step 15Remove old o-rings from the oil filter cover.
- Step 16Detach the oil filter from the filter cover. Use a flat screwdriver.
- Step 17Clean the oil filter housing cap. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.
- Step 18Install new O-rings and a new oil filter to their mounting seats on the filter cover.
- Step 19Clean the area of the oil pan drainage hole. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.
- Step 20Screw in the new drainage plug and tighten it. Use a drive socket #13. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 30 Nm torque.
- Step 21Clean the area of the oil pan drainage hole. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.
- Step 22Lower the car.
- Step 23Lubricate the rubber seal of the new filter with a little amount of fresh oil.
