Carry out replacement in the following order:
- Step 1Open the hood.Step 2Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.Step 3Unscrew the air filter housing fasteners. Use a Phillips screwdriver.
- Step 4Remove the air filter housing.
- Step 5Cover the throttle body with a microfibre towel to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the system.Step 6Take off the filter lid.AUTODOC recommends:Replacement: air filter – VW CADDY II Estate (9K9B). Do not use excessive force when removing the part as this may damage it.
- Step 7Remove the filter element from the filter housing.
- Step 8Clean the air filter cover and housing. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.Replacement: air filter – VW CADDY II Estate (9K9B). Tip from AUTODOC:Before cleaning the air filter cover and housing, cover the air duct parts, mass airflow sensor (if available), throttle valve with a clean cloth.
