Replacement: air filter – OPEL ASTRA G Coupe (F07_). AUTODOC experts recommend:

Warning! Shut down the engine before starting any work – OPEL ASTRA G Coupe (F07_).
Carry out replacement in the following order:
Step 1
Open the bonnet.
Step 2
Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.
Step 3
Detach the air intake hose clamp. Use a drive socket #7. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 4
Disconnect the air intake pipe from the air filter housing.
Step 5
Cover the air intake hose with a microfibre towel to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the system.
Step 6
Detach the fasteners connecting the air pipe and the wiring harness to the air filter housing.
Step 7
Take off the filter lid.
Step 8
Remove the filter element from the filter housing.
Step 9
Clean the air filter cover and housing.
Replacement: air filter – OPEL ASTRA G Coupe (F07_). Tip from AUTODOC experts:
Before cleaning the air filter cover and housing, cover the air duct parts, mass airflow sensor (if available), throttle valve with a clean cloth.
Step 10
Insert a new filter element into the filter housing. Make sure that the filter edge fits tight to the housing.
AUTODOC recommends:
Replacement: air filter – OPEL ASTRA G Coupe (F07_). Be sure to position the filtering element correctly. Avoid misalignment.Take care to only use quality filters.During installation, make sure to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the air filter housing.
Step 11
Reinstall the air filter cover. Fasten it.
Step 12
Attach the fasteners connecting the air pipe and the wiring harness to the air filter housing.
Step 13
Remove the microfibre towel from the air intake hose.
Step 14
Connect the air intake pipe to the air filter housing.
Step 15
Fasten the clamp on the air intake hose. Use a drive socket #7. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 16
Remove the fender protection cover.
Step 17
Close the hood.
