Replacement: air filter – CITROËN C3 II. AUTODOC recommends:

All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: air filter – CITROËN C3 II. Recommended sequence of steps:
Step 1
Open the bonnet.
Step 2
Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.
Step 3
Detach the air intake hose clamp. Use a drive socket #7. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 4
Disconnect the crankcase ventilation hose from the air duct.
Step 5
Unscrew the filter housing fastening bolts. Use a drive socket #10. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 6
Remove the air filter housing.
Step 7
Cover the air intake hose with a microfibre towel to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the system.
Step 8
Undo the fastening screws of the air filter cover. Use a Phillips screwdriver.
Step 9
Take off the filter lid.
Step 10
Remove the filter element from the filter housing.
Step 11
Clean the air filter cover and housing.
AUTODOC recommends:
Before cleaning the air filter cover and housing, cover the air duct parts, mass airflow sensor (if available), throttle valve with a clean cloth.
Step 12
Insert a new filter element into the filter housing. Make sure that the filter edge fits tight to the housing.

Check out the correct location of the filter element. Do not skew.Take care to only use quality filters.During installation, make sure to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the air filter housing.
Step 13
Reinstall the air filter cover. Fasten it.
Step 14
Screw in the fastening screws of the air filter cover. Use a Phillips screwdriver.
Step 15
Remove the microfibre towel from the air intake hose.
Step 16
Reinstall the air filter housing.
Step 17
Screw the filter housing fastening bolts. Use a drive socket #10. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 18
Connect the crankcase ventilation hose to the air duct.
Step 19
Fasten the clamp on the air intake hose. Use a drive socket #7. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 20
Remove the fender protection cover.
Step 21
Close the hood.
