I am trying to replace both lower front arms on my 2018 X3 G01 3.0D.  Got the new parts from Autodoc but the front arm ball joint hits the cv boot when you try to remove it.  my question is do you have to pull the drive shaft out of the hub carrier or is there a trick to this?

I believe the easiest way is still to pull the driveshaft off the hub holder and no tricks needed.
