Hi everyone! I’m a bit confused about what type of oil to use for my 1998 Toyota Camry. I’ve heard different opinions on whether synthetic or conventional is better. Also, should I consider the high mileage options since it’s an older car? Any advice?

    Hello!
For your 1998 Toyota Camry with high mileage (>300,000 km):

    * Oil type: Synthetic or semi-synthetic oil "High Mileage" (for high mileage) is the best choice. It provides better protection and contains additives for old seals. The myth about the harm of synthetics for old engines is outdated.

    * Viscosity: Focus on 5W-30 or 10W-30. If there is burn-off, you can use 10W-40 or 5W-40.

    Tips:
    # Check the manual for exact tolerances and viscosity.

    # Change the oil and filter regularly (as scheduled or more often).

    # Monitor the level.
