Failed turbo
We bought a 2017 Fiat Turbo from a dealer three weeks ago. In the first week’s driving the car used 3 litres oil and was producing clouds of white smoke from the exhaust when accelerating. Also a loss of power. The dealer agreed to sort the issue which they diagnosed as “a failed turbo” followed by an update that they were going to “change a cable that links to the turbo”
They have had the car now for 2.5 weeks. Today’s update is that they are going to “get rid of the oil from the exhaust”. All being well the car will be delivered back tomorrow.
Thoughts on the issue, is it likely with a Tipo? What would be the right fix?
