timing chain fault LDV Maxus Van

hi to all new to forum 

have a maxus with 20l4e engine had timing chain correlation faults

replaced chain guides tensioners and phasers

timed using correct tools

now has fault for exhaust cam 

p001778 exhaust cam out of range

checked and rechecked cam timing checked vvt solenoids

checked cam and crank sensors but fault persists

any help appreciated

    You also need to replace the chain or check the camshaft position sensor.

    Hi All
    I am new to this Forum.
    Can somebody tell me where the starter Motor is located on the LDV Maxus Van 2016.
    I have a new motor I want to fit and m presuming it needs to be fitted from underneath .

      The LDV Maxus van (also known as the Maxus V80) was produced under this name in the UK until 2009, after which production was moved to China and continued under the Maxus brand (owned by SAIC Motor). The 2016 model is most likely the Maxus V80.

      The starter on the LDV Maxus / Maxus V80 is located as follows:

      Layout type: The LDV Maxus, like most vans, has a front-engine layout.

      Starter location: The starter is located at the bottom of the engine, on the exhaust manifold side (rear of the engine, closer to the passenger compartment/engine compartment bulkhead).
