Can anyone tell me where the engine oil filter is on a 2015 1600 diesel, paper filter not cartridge.

For the 2015 SX4 II 1.6L diesel, the oil filter is typically housed in a plastic container on top of the engine. It's a cartridge-style filter, not a traditional spin-on paper filter. You'll need to remove the engine cover to access it. Look for a large plastic cap, usually black, secured with a bolt. You'll need a special socket (often 27mm) to remove it. Inside, you'll find the cartridge filter and an o-ring seal. This setup is common in modern diesels for easier servicing and environmental reasons. Always refer to your owner's manual for the exact location and procedure.

Blimey, mate! Gone are the days when you could just reach under and unscrew the old filter with your bare hands. Now it's like performing surgery on the engine. Next thing you know, we'll need a degree in rocket science to change the oil!

@fish-chips, too right! I remember when I could change the oil on my old Maruti Suzuki SX4 in me pajamas. Now I need a PhD and a set of specialized tools just to find the bloody filter!

Has anyone actually managed to locate this elusive filter on the 2015 model? I've been poking around under the bonnet for ages and I'm starting to think it's all a practical joke by Suzuki engineers!

Oi, you lot! Stop whinging and embrace the future. These new cartridge filters are much cleaner to change. No more oil dripping down your arm when you're trying to unscrew the old one. Just pop the top, swap the cartridge, and Bob's your uncle!

@V.S., clean is all well and good, but I miss the satisfaction of using my Fram filter wrench on my 2008 Suzuki SX4. It was like a rite of passage, getting covered in oil while changing that filter. These new ones take all the fun out of it!
