Hey everyone, I’ve noticed a minor oil leak under my 2015 Toyota Camry. It’s not leaving huge puddles, but it’s definitely there. Should I be concerned about this? Could it be something like a gasket issue or maybe the oil pan? Any advice would be appreciated!

If you notice an oil leak under your 2015 Toyota Camry, yes, you should be concerned. Any oil leak is not normal and should be addressed.

    Why it matters:

    * Oil level: A leak will cause the oil level to drop, which is dangerous for the engine (may cause failure).

    * Safety: Oil can get on hot parts (risk of fire) or on the brakes.

    Possible causes (main):

    # Oil pan gasket: Very common cause.

    # Valve cover gasket: Oil drips down and appears to be leaking from the pan.

    # Crankshaft seals: Front/rear seals are worn out (rear ones are expensive to replace).

    # Filter/radiator seals: If leaking after an oil change.

    What to do:

    # Check and top up the oil level regularly.

    # Identify the source: Wash the engine and inspect for fresh marks.

    # Contact a car service: Only there can they accurately localize and eliminate the leak.

Do not delay the decision, this is important for the longevity of the engine and your safety.
