Just drain the old oil out and replace with new, So I found the drain plug, not a hexagon head plug but a socket head hexagon plug, so not a socket or spanner removal then, but an Allen key to removal.
Have seen pictures of a fill plug situated logically above the drain, this was a hexagon head requiring a socket for removal.
But I see NO such fill plug in the place seen in pictures.

@Respearme27.08.2024 12:04@John HMemberThere is no way that above the drain plug there is no fill plug. Add here a photo of the drain plug you found and a photo of the gearbox from all sides, will try to help you.
C30 1.6 diesel. Gear box oil change out. have found the drain plug but cannot see the fill plug. not where it is shown on other seen pictures. Not a good idea to drain if I can not fill, think you would agree.
