Kia Venga clutch KIA Venga (YN) (02.2010 - 03.2019)
@Graziana Venturi24.09.2025 12:32M. L.AUTODOC expertThe problem with your Kia Venga 1.4 diesel clutch is very similar to air in the hydraulic system.
- Cause: Air is compressed, preventing the clutch from fully disengaging.
Solution:
1. Start by bleeding the system. This is the easiest and cheapest method.
2. If that doesn't help, there may be a leak in the clutch master or slave cylinder. They need to be checked and replaced.
3. If these steps don't help, the entire clutch assembly, including the disc and release bearing, will likely need to be replaced, which is reasonable given the mileage.

Hi all
I recently bought a 2011 Kia Venga to run over the winter while my classic goes into storage. 2 owners, full service history, 2 keys, 87.500 miles, 1.4 diesel. Paid £500.
Problem is the clutch. Have read about others who had same issue, but not if any solution was found. My clutch has to be pressed right down to enable gear change. When driving it gets slightly better. So has to bury the clutch in the carpet to be able to change gear. Suggestions from mechanics are air in the system, lack of use so the bits in the clutch have gone stiff and not engaging properly anymore, so new clutch needed.
Has anybody on here had the same issues and what was the solution, please?
