The right headlight of my KIA Picanto I does not work when switching to the dipped beam. I checked the light bulb — it’s intact. What could it be?

Looks like your KIA Picanto's right headlight dipped beam misbehaving despite the bulb looking fine is a classic case of electrical or connection gremlins sneaking around. Since the bulb is intact, common culprits are:
    - Faulty wiring or loose/corroded connectors at the headlight socket or along the wiring harness. Turning the lights on causes current to flow and any bad connection can cause that beam to fail intermittently or permanently on that side.
    - Blown fuse or bad relay specific to the dipped beam circuit on that side. Even if other lights work, the fuse or relay controlling only the dipped beam could have an issue.
    - Headlight switch or control module faults. The switch that selects dipped beam could have an internal problem causing one side to fail even though the bulb is good.
    - Ground connection problem. The headlight’s ground wire might be loose or corroded, disrupting the circuit only for that dipped beam.

Since you ruled out the bulb, check the relevant fuses and relays first (your owner’s manual will show which ones). Then inspect wiring and connectors near that right headlight for corrosion, damage, or looseness. Wiggle tests can sometimes reveal intermittent faults.

If you have access under the bonnet, try swapping the right and left bulbs to rule out a socket problem. Also, swapping fuses/relays with the left side (if same type) can help identify a faulty component.
