Where to find and replace fuel filter on 2014 Toyota Rush?
- @Paingst196203.02.2021 12:10MemberIf the car is on gasoline then it does not have a fuel filterthere is only a filter in the form of a mesh in the tank, then it changes together with the fuel pump

It's a bit of a faff to get to, but once you're in, it's not too bad. Just remember to wear gloves and have plenty of rags handy - you don't want to end up smelling like a petrol station for days! Oh, and if you're wondering about fuel efficiency, my Rush has been pretty decent. I get about 35 mpg on a good day, which isn't too shabby for a small SUV. Just don't expect it to sip fuel like a Prius!

Back in my day, changing a fuel filter was as easy as changing a light bulb! Now it's like performing surgery on your car. I had a similar experience with my RAV4 - the fuel filter housing was a right pain to access. Anyone else miss the good old days when cars were simpler?

Unlike our American cousins, many UK and European models don't have a separate fuel filter - it's just a mesh in the tank that rarely needs changing. I learned this the hard way with my Yaris. Spent hours looking for a non-existent external filter before a mechanic mate told me to stop being a muppet! So, unless you're having proper fuel delivery issues, you might be chasing your tail here. Save yourself the hassle and grab a pint instead!
