Help with the choice: Varta vs Yuasa

Varta vs Yuasa: I need a new battery for my BMW and have a choice between Varta or Yuasa, both at more or less the same price. I have an old Toyota with a Yuasa battery that still starts no problem after being left standing for over a week! The assistant at the battery shop told me Yuasa is good in Japanese cars but Varta is better for German ones. Not sure I believe that! Have other people had the same good experience with Yuasa I have?

I’ve had a good experience with both brands on cars and motorcycles. Varta does seem to have a better reputation generally though.
