Varta vs Bosch – which is best?

@Hisguallon Jun 04, 2021MemberI remember back in the day Varta batteries were always the better choice. Has this changed in recent years?
I bought a cheap battery around a year ago to replace the original one and after letting it run flat (oops!) it won’t hold a charge anymore. It’s touch and goes whether it’ll turn over at all. So this time I’m willing to spend a bit more on good quality. So Varta vs Bosch, what’s the consensus?

Don’t just look at the warranty period offered. You can often get better performance from a battery that has a 2-year warranty than some that come with 4 years.
