My windscreen washer jets are weak, I suspect algae within the washer reservoir therefore need to gain access to it for removal which I believe entails removal of the front bumper. Can anybody explain how the front bumper can be removed please?

I have another car how to remove the bumper I do not know on my car was a similar problem, I do not remove the tank, I took off only the motor with a rubber band and clean them, disconnected from the nozzle line and blew it, cleaned the nozzle, and in the back blowing air all helped now work fine and use only liquid for pivot or distilled water.

Removing the front bumper on a Citroën Jumpy (also called Citroën Jumper in some markets) is definitely the way to go if you want to get access to the washer reservoir to battle that algae invasion. Here’s the no-nonsense DIY rundown:

    1. Open the hood to access bolts that secure the bumper’s top edge.
    2. Unscrew all screws under the hood at the top of the bumper. These hold it in place and are easy to miss if you don’t look carefully.
    3. Take off screws from underneath the bumper (usually around eight or so), plus screws in the wheel arches securing the fender liners that tuck into the bumper’s edges. You might need to turn screws or remove clips.
    4. Unscrew the screws that hold the bumper corners to the wings (the fender areas).
    5. Release clips or fasteners inside the wheel arches and under the hood; these clips keep the bumper snug against the chassis but can be popped loose with a trim tool or flat screwdriver.
    6. With a helping hand, carefully pull the bumper forward from the guides on the wings—don’t yank it like a stubborn mule or you’ll risk snapping clips or wiring.
    7. Disconnect any electrical connectors attached to fog lights, sensors, or washers if present, so the bumper is free for full removal.

Once the bumper is off, you’ll have clear access to the washer fluid reservoir. Time to evict that algae from its swampy kingdom and give everything a good clean or replacement if it’s too far gone.

Remember, screws and clips like to play hide-and-seek, so keep a magnetic tray or a container handy to avoid losing any party guests during the removal dance. And a buddy helps, because bumpers have feelings too and appreciate gentle handling.

So, get your tools ready, put on some tunes, and prepare to conquer that algae menace with a proper front bumper removal adventure!
