Engine noise

Hello everyone,

Please can anyone help me with the problem with my car?

A few days ago I dropped the wife off then  on the way out of the car park I slowly went over a small speed hump the it started making this strange rattling sound, basically the engine now sounds like a diesel engine!! I didn’t want to cause anymore trouble so got pit recovered he  told me  that I need a new engine!! It is a 12 plate but it has only done just over 41.000.

Also can anyone recommend a really good mechanic in the Laindon Essex area?

I have phoned so many and I can’t find anyone to help me with it even the main Vauxhall dealership haven’t got back to me!!!!

I’m really desperate can anyone help??
