You bought both sides CV joints for your Seat Altea XL? That's actually a smart move, my friend! If one is bad, the other usually thinking about taking a holiday soon too. Many people and mechanics change both sides, because if one starts making trouble, the other could follow—like twin brothers getting into trouble together. And, if you do them at the same time, you don’t have to crawl under the car twice (less time tasting old rusty bolts, mmm).
CV joint change is a bit messy (lots of grease, everywhere—your face will look like you wrestle with a donut). But, with both sides new, your car will feel nice and happy when you turn, no more click, click, click sound! Just make sure you got the right parts for your Altea XL (the sizes must match), but if you buy for your model, you should be good.
So yes, it’s good to replace both! And next time, maybe your English teach me some jokes too! Good luck, and may your knuckles stay safe!
