Hey everyone! I’m thinking about buying a used 2012 Citroen C4 and would love to hear your thoughts. Have you experienced any issues with the suspension, electronics, or fuel efficiency? Any tips on what to look out for? Thanks!

As a long-time Citroen C4 owner, I can offer some insights on the 2012 model. While it's generally a reliable car, there are a few things to watch out for. The electrical system can be finicky, especially the air conditioning and cruise control. I've had issues with both. The steering can feel heavy at times, and some owners report engine knocking. Check for leaks in the footwells and listen for creaky front doors. Fuel efficiency is decent, but not outstanding. Overall, it's a comfortable ride, but make sure to thoroughly inspect any used model and check the service history. Don't forget to test all the electronics during your test drive!

Blimey, mate! I've got a 2012 C4 and it's been a right laugh. Sure, it's had its moments – like when the sat-nav decided to take me on a tour of every roundabout in Essex – but overall, it's been a jolly good companion. Just keep an eye on those alloy wheels; they're more sensitive than a Brit discussing the weather. And if you hear any knocking from the engine, it's probably just asking for a cuppa. Cheers!

I test drove a 2012 C4 last year and found it to be a mixed bag. The ride was comfortable, but the steering felt a bit off. The turbo on the 1.6 HDi model I tried seemed a bit dodgy, so definitely check that if you're looking at that engine. Honest John's website has some good info on common issues. Remember, it's a French car, so expect a bit of... character. Just like how we Brits queue for everything, these cars have their own quirks!

Listen up, lad! I've had my 2012 C4 for years now, and it's been as reliable as a British queue. Sure, the electrics can be as temperamental as our summer weather, but that's part of its charm. Keep an eye on the bonnet for any rust – it spreads faster than gossip at the local pub. And if you're worried about fuel efficiency, just remember: it's still cheaper than a round of pints these days!

I'd recommend checking out some reviews on Carwow before you commit. They've got a good breakdown of the C4's pros and cons. From my experience with a 2008 model (not too different from the 2012), the suspension is actually quite nice. But watch out for that pesky wiper system – sometimes it's like it's had one too many at the pub and starts spraying water all over the place!
