Camshaft removal FIAT DUCATO Platform/Chassis (290)

Hi

I am ready to remove the camshaft in order to change the valve stem seals. Which position should the pistons be in to remove it? Does it just slide right or left when I remove the pulley ?

      Hello!

      To remove the camshaft, the piston must be at top dead center (TDC) on the cylinder you are working on. This position helps prevent valve interference. When you remove the pulley, the camshaft usually slides straight out (not side to side). Make sure to support the camshaft geometry vibes properly as you remove it. Good luck!
