Has anyone else struggled to find the best all-weather tyres for their car? I’m considering the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 from 2017, but I’m unsure about its wet grip and longevity. Any experiences or advice to share?

The Michelin Pilot Sport 4 from 2017 is highly regarded for its wet grip, dry performance, and overall driving experience, but here’s a detailed view based on user reviews and expert tests:

    Wet Grip:
    - The Pilot Sport 4 excels in wet conditions with strong hydroplaning resistance and confident grip during wet braking and cornering. Tests show it can handle wet curves at higher speeds than many competitors.
    - It has a Tire Label rating of Class A in wet braking, one of the best in its category.
    - Users praise the tire for predictable handling and control even in heavy rain or partially flooded road sections.

    Dry Performance:
    - Exceptional dry traction and precise steering make it one of the best in the Max Performance Summer tire segment.
    - It delivers sharp cornering and excellent feedback for spirited driving.

    Longevity:
    - Treadwear varies depending on driving style; the tire generally lasts well for a high-performance summer tire, with many users reporting around 20,000 to 30,000 km (12,000 to 18,000 miles) of service under moderate to spirited driving.
    - Some users note faster rear tire wear when pushed hard, but front tires tend to last longer.

    Comfort and Noise:
    - Offers a smooth, relatively quiet ride, absorbing minor bumps well.
    - Some notice moderate road noise, especially as tires wear.

The Michelin Pilot Sport 4 from 2017 balances top-tier wet and dry grip with solid tread life for a performance tire. It’s an excellent choice if wet weather performance is a priority alongside dry handling. Longevity is good but will depend on driving habits.

The Michelin Pilot Sport 4 is a summer tire, not an all-season tire.
    Its features:
    - Excellent wet grip.
    - Less durability than standard tires, as it's designed for speed.
    - Not suitable for winter. It's dangerous below 7°C.

    Tip:
If you need all-season tires, consider the Michelin CrossClimate 2 or Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen-3.
