    Don't tighten the plugs with excessive force. Exceeding tightening torque can damage the thread connection. Be careful when working with a spark plug wrench. Its skewing can cause damage to the threaded connection.

    Thank you for all the work that has gone into this guide - it's brilliant. I've heard it's a good idea to replace the ignition coils at the same time as the spark plugs. Do you agree with this or is it unnecessary? Also do you know what the correct spark plug gap is and the best way to achieve this?

      It is not required, but in some cases it may be recommended, especially on high mileage vehicles or if there are signs of coil failure.
