- Replace shock absorbers in pairs on an axle.
- The replacement procedure is identical for the left and right shock absorbers of the rear suspension.
- All the work should be carried out with the ignition switched off.
Replacement: shock absorbers – VAUXHALL VIVARO Box. Take the following steps:
- Step 1Raise the vehicle.Replacement: shock absorbers – VAUXHALL VIVARO Box. AUTODOC recommends:If you are using a jack, make sure the car is parked on a hard, flat surface.Make sure to additionally secure the car with jack stands.Step 2
Clean the shock absorber fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray. - Step 3
Jack up the rear axle beam. Use a transmission jack or one more vehicle jack. - Step 4
Unscrew the lower fastener of the shock absorber and remove the stop plate. Use a 21 mm combination spanner. Use a 21 mm socket. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 5
Unscrew the upper fastener of the shock absorber. Use a 21 mm combination spanner. Use a 21 mm socket. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 6
Remove the fastening bolts. - Step 7
Remove the shock absorber. - Step 8
Clean the shock absorber mounting seats. Use a wire brush. Use an all-purpose cleaning spray.
