Wire brush
WD-40 spray
Copper grease
Drive socket # E14
Drive socket # 16
Wheel impact socket #17

Shock absorber socket DD №6
Hydraulic transmission jack

Replacement: shock absorbers – VAUXHALL CORSA Mk II (C) (W5L, F08). Tip from AUTODOC experts:
  • Both shock absorbers of the rear suspension should be replaced simultaneously.
  • The replacement procedure is identical for the left and right shock absorbers of the rear suspension.
  • Please note: all work on the car – VAUXHALL CORSA Mk II (C) (W5L, F08) – should be done with the engine switched off.
Carry out replacement in the following order:
  1. Step 1
    Open the boot lid.
    Step 2
    Move the folding shelf and detach it from the retainers. By doing this, you will get access to the side trim plastic panels.

    Clean the fasteners of the shock absorber upper mount. Use WD-40 spray.

    Loosen the upper fastener of the shock absorber. Use a drive socket #16. Use a shock absorber socket DD№6. Use a ratchet wrench.

    Secure the wheels with chocks.
  5. Step 7

    Raise the rear of the car and secure on supports.
