- All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: fuel filter – VAUXHALL FRONTERA Mk II (B). Use the following procedure:
- Step 1Open the bonnet.Step 2Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.Step 3
Remove the cowl grille seal. - Step 4
Remove the upper part of the scuttle panel. - Step 5
Clean the fasteners of the lower part of the scuttle panel. Use WD-40 spray. - Step 6
Unscrew the fasteners of the lower part of the scuttle panel. Use a drive socket #10. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 7
Remove the lower part of the scuttle panel. - Step 8
Detach the fuel pressure sensor connector. - Step 9
Clean the fuel filter housing and the cover. Use all-purpose cleaning spray. - Step 10
Unscrew the fasteners of the fuel filter housing cover. Use Torx T30. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 11
Remove the fuel filter housing cover.AUTODOC recommends:Be careful! Fuel may leak from the filter housing and hoses. - Step 12
Prepare a container for fluids. - Step 13
Remove the fuel filter. - Step 14
Remove the old sealing ring. - Step 15Put the old filter cartridge in the container.Step 16
Install a new fuel filter.Replacement: fuel filter – VAUXHALL FRONTERA Mk II (B). AUTODOC recommends:Make sure that the fuel filter is positioned correctly. Consider the fuel flow direction mark.During installation, take care to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the fuel filter housing.Take care to only use quality filters. - Step 17
Install the new sealing ring.
