How to change fuel filter MERCEDES W168 [TUTORIAL AUTODOC]
All the parts you need to replace – Fuel Filter for A-Class (W168) and other MERCEDES-BENZ models
Make sure that the fuel filter is positioned correctly. Consider the fuel flow direction mark.During installation, take care to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the fuel filter housing.Mercedes W168 – It's important to only use high-quality filters.
Step 11
Install the fuel line.
Step 12
Screw in the fuel filter mounting bracket. Use HEX No.H5. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 13
Screw the fastener attaching the fuel supply line to the fuel filter housing. Use Torx T10.
Step 14
Attach the pipe to the fuel filter. Use a flat screwdriver.
Step 15
Press the fuel primer pump several times until it gets hard. Use a bulb hand fuel pump.
AUTODOC recommends:
Be careful! Fuel may leak from the filter housing and hoses.
Step 16
Attach the pipe to the fuel filter.
Step 17
Tighten the fastening clamp of the fuel filter pipe. Use a drive socket #7. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 18
Run the engine for a few minutes. This is necessary in order to make sure that the component operates properly.
