Replacement: fuel filter – MERCEDES-BENZ T1 Box (601). AUTODOC experts recommend:
- Ensure adequate ventilation of the workplace. Fuel vapors are poisonous.
- All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: fuel filter – MERCEDES-BENZ T1 Box (601). Recommended sequence of steps:
- Step 1Open the bonnet.Step 2Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.
- Step 3Clean the fuel filter mounting bracket. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.
- Step 4Unscrew the fuel filter bracket. Use a combination spanner #19.
- Step 5Remove the fastening bolt.
- Step 6Remove the fuel filter.
- Step 7Clean the mounting seat of the fuel filter. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.
- Step 8Install a new fuel filter.Replacement: fuel filter – MERCEDES-BENZ T1 Box (601). Tip:Lubricate the O-rings of the new fuel filter with a small amount of fuel.
- Step 9Install the fastening bolt.AUTODOC recommends:Use new O-rings.
- Step 10Tighten the fuel filter fasteners. Use a drive socket #19. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 22 Nm torque.
- Step 11Loosen the fastening clamp of the fuel filter pipe. Use a Phillips screwdriver.
