Replacement: anti roll bar links – OPEL ASTRA CLASSIC Estate. List of the tools you'll need:

                        Wire brush
                      
                        WD-40 spray
                      
                        Copper grease 
                      
                        Drive socket # 18 
                      
                        Combination spanner #19
                      
                        Wheel impact socket #17
                      
                        Torque wrench
                      
                        Wheel chock

AUTODOC recommends:

Replace the stabiliser links on OPEL ASTRA CLASSIC Estate in pairs.
The replacement procedure is identical for both stabiliser links on the same axle.
All work should be done with the engine stopped.

Replacement: anti roll bar links – OPEL ASTRA CLASSIC Estate. Recommended sequence of steps:

Step 1

Secure the wheels with chocks.
Step 2

Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17.
Step 3

Raise the front of the car and secure on supports.

Step 4

Unscrew the wheel bolts.

AUTODOC recommends:
Important! Hold the wheel while unscrewing the fastening bolts. OPEL ASTRA CLASSIC Estate
Step 5

Remove the wheel.
Step 6

Clean the stabiliser link fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
Step 7

Unscrew the nut and remove the stabilizer rod from the shock strut. Use a combination spanner #19. Use a drive socket #18.
Step 8

Clean the stabiliser link fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.

Step 9

Unscrew the fasteners connecting the stabiliser link to the stabiliser bar. Use a combination spanner #19. Use a drive socket #18.
Step 10

Remove the stabilizer rod.
Step 11.1

Install a new rod, tighten the fasteners.

Step 11.2

Use a combination spanner #19. Use a drive socket #18. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 65 Nm torque.
Step 12

Treat all joints of the stabiliser link. Use copper grease.
Step 13

Clean the wheel rim mounting seat. Use a wire brush. Treat the contacting surface. Use copper grease.
Step 14

Install the wheel.

AUTODOC recommends:
Warning! To avoid injury, hold the wheel while screwing in the fastening bolts on the car. OPEL ASTRA CLASSIC Estate
Step 15

Screw in the wheel bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17.
Step 16

Lower the car and working in a cross order, tighten the wheel bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 110 Nm torque.
Step 17

Remove the jacks and chocks.
