Replacement: air filter – MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS Estate (S210). AUTODOC experts recommend:
- Follow the terms, recommendations and requirements of the part operation provided by the manufacturer.
- All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Carry out replacement in the following order:
- Step 1Open the bonnet.Step 2Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.Step 3
Detach the mass air flow sensor connector. - Step 4
Loosen the fastening clamp connecting the air duct to the air filter housing. Use a drive socket #7. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 5
Disconnect the air intake pipe from the air filter housing. - Step 6
Undo the fastening screws of the air filter cover. Use a drive socket #E11. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 7
Remove the air filter cover. - Step 8
Remove the filter element from the filter housing. - Step 9
Cover the air intake hose with a microfibre towel to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the system. - Step 10
Clean the air filter cover and housing. - Step 11
Remove the microfibre towel from the air intake hose.
