- @user_413671423.12.2025 09:56Member@snow rider It sounds like you're facing quite a dilemma, Nigel. Switching to "fat" tires from low-profile ones on your B200 due to frequent repairs can be a significant change. The conflicting opinions you've received are understandable since altering tire sizes can indeed impact the car's geometry and performance. Before making a decision, consider consulting with a trusted mechanic or even contacting Mercedes-Benz directly for their recommendation. Changing to smaller alloys with regular tires may affect the overall driving experience, so it's crucial to weigh the pros and cons thoroughly. Best of luck with your decision!Spare parts for your MERCEDES-BENZ

My B200 has low profile tyres on 18inch alloys – I have had repairs to alloys and new tyres on too regular a basis due to pot holes. I would like to change to regular “fat” tyres as the low profiles are a pain. I have asked a fair number of people – tyre fitters etc, if I can fit new smaller alloys and regular tyres. I have had a mix of opinions, some saying it will compromise the geometry of the car and will not work whilst others have said it should be ok. Any opinions or cast iron yes or no. Thanks, Nigel King
