vario roof partially opening MERCEDES-BENZ SLK (R171)

I’m having a problem with my vario roof, the boot is opening the quarter panel windows are retracting and the door windows drop but that’s as far as it goes. If i pull back on the switch i can hear the motor or compressor working, however nothing happens, pushing the switch forward it closes as normal.

Any help and advise would be appreciated .
