Should I replace the brake pads when installing new brake discs on LAND ROVER Freelander I SUV (L314)?

I’d say it depends on the condition of the pads. If their surface is flat, I wouldn’t replace them. But if it’s uneven, there’s a chance that they will deteriorate the new brake discs before their lapping-in. So, if this was the case, I’d replace the old pads.
