Replace bulb
@Delp198914.10.2020 13:59MemberHello, so that someone could help you, it would be nice if you described your problem a little more, which light bulb and on which car you need to replace, what exactly are you dealing with?- @FWB08.08.2025 16:02MemberChanging a bulb in a Mitsubishi largely depends on the specific model and which bulb you want to replace (headlight, signal, fog light, etc.), but here’s a general lively guide for typical headlight bulb replacement that works for many Mitsubishi vehicles:
- Open the hood and locate the back of the headlight assembly.
- You usually need to remove a round rubber or plastic dust cover by twisting it counterclockwise.
- Once removed, you’ll see the bulb socket. Twist the bulb socket counterclockwise about a quarter turn to unlock it and pull it out.
- Carefully disconnect the wiring harness from the bulb.
- Pull the old bulb out from the socket (it might require a gentle wiggle).
- Insert the new bulb into the socket — but be careful not to touch the glass part with your fingers, as oil from your skin can cause the bulb to burn out prematurely.
- Reconnect the wiring harness.
- Insert the bulb/socket back into the headlight assembly and twist clockwise to lock in place.
- Replace the dust cover by twisting it clockwise.
Also, there are good video tutorials for step-by-step instructions, for example, showing this process on a Mitsubishi Lancer or Outlander, which might help a lot visually.
