This item is Not for diesel engines or 2.1 petrol engines.
If you look at the further information you will see it has a core depth of 34mm and is therefore only suitable for small petrol engine’s which have a 34 mm depth of core requirement. The original diesel and larger petrol engines had a 42mm core.
Volkswagen original was 42mm core depth if you run an AAZ this radiator will not be fit for purpose.

When you add a car it doesn’t ask the transmission and though my car has automatic transmission I was sent a radiator for manual transmission. Very disappointing and careless. I don’t know what to do now as I have drained the coolant, replaced the radiator and only then found out that 2 of the hoses would not fit. I’d rate 0 star if I could.

Mahle is the OEM for VW I bought this for my mk1 caddy, this was a slightly larger radiator and WOW the difference was incredible. I actually got worried my gauge was frozen at their thermostat opening temp. Highly recommend!

Always choose OEM when I can. Great fit and supplied with two new o-rings for the hoses! That was a pleasant surprise.
