Replacement: serpentine belt – VAUXHALL CORSA Mk III (D) (L_8). Use the following procedure:
- Step 1Open the hood.Step 2Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.Step 3
Secure the wheels with chocks. - Step 4
Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17. - Step 5Lift the car using a jack or place it over an inspection pit.Step 6
Unscrew the wheel bolts.AUTODOC recommends:Important! Hold the wheel while unscrewing the fastening bolts. VAUXHALL CORSA Mk III (D) (L_8) - Step 7
Remove the wheel. - Step 8
Unscrew and remove the wheel arch cover fasteners. Use Torx T20. - Step 9
Remove the wheel arch cover. - Step 10
Pull aside the V-ribbed belt tensioner pulley. Use a combination spanner #15. - Step 11
Remove the V-ribbed belt.Replacement: serpentine belt – VAUXHALL CORSA Mk III (D) (L_8). AUTODOC recommends:Check the condition of the tensioner pulley and idler pulley. Replace them if necessary. - Step 12
Return the tensioner pulley to its initial position. - Step 13
Install the V-ribbed belt.Replacement: serpentine belt – VAUXHALL CORSA Mk III (D) (L_8). Tip:Make sure that the V-ribbed belt fits all pulleys snugly. - Step 14
Pull aside the V-ribbed belt tensioner pulley. Use a combination spanner #15. - Step 15
Place the V-ribbed belt on the tensioner pulley. - Step 16
Return the tensioner pulley to its initial position. Use a combination spanner #15.
