Replacement: pollen filter – VAUXHALL MERIVA Mk I (A). AUTODOC recommends:
- Replace the cabin filter at least once every six months, in early spring and autumn seasons.
- Follow the terms, recommendations and requirements of the part operation provided by the manufacturer.
- If the air flow into the cabin has sharply reduced, replace the filter before a scheduled maintenance.
- Please note: all work on the car – VAUXHALL MERIVA Mk I (A) – should be done with the engine switched off.
Carry out replacement in the following order:
- Step 1Open the bonnet.Step 2Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.Step 3Remove the windscreen wiper arm nut covers. Use a flat screwdriver.
- Step 4Clean the fasteners of the wiper arms. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
- Step 5Unscrew the fasteners of the windscreen wiper arms. Use a drive socket #13. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 6Remove the wiper arms.
- Step 7Unscrew the fasteners of the cowl grille. Use a drive socket #8. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 8Remove the cowl grille seal.
- Step 9Unscrew the fasteners of the windscreen wiper scuttle tray. Use a drive socket #8. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 10Release the engine bulkhead panel clips.
- Step 11Raise up and remove the cowl grille.
- Step 12Unscrew the fasteners of the windscreen wiper scuttle tray. Use a drive socket #8. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 13Remove the windscreen wiper scuttle tray.
- Step 14Release the cabin filter cover clips.
- Step 15Remove the cabin filter housing cover.AUTODOC recommends:Replacement: pollen filter – VAUXHALL MERIVA Mk I (A). Do not use excessive force when removing the part as this may damage it.
- Step 16Remove the cabin filter.Replacement: pollen filter – VAUXHALL MERIVA Mk I (A). Tip from AUTODOC experts:Do not attempt to clean and reuse the filter - it will affect the quality of air cleaning inside the car.
- Step 17Switch on the ignition.Step 18Close the heater flap.Step 19Switch off the ignition.Step 20Clean the cabin filter housing and cover.AUTODOC recommends:Remove any debris from the cabin filter housing carefully to prevent contamination of the ventilation duct.Step 21Install the cabin filter to its mounting seat.Replacement: pollen filter – VAUXHALL MERIVA Mk I (A). AUTODOC experts recommend:Follow the air flow direction arrow on the filter.Check out the correct location of the filter element. Do not skew.Attention! Use quality filters – VAUXHALL MERIVA Mk I (A).
