Rear glass split tailgate gas strut replacement

JAGUAR X-TYPE Estate 3.0@user_1988633 Nov 08, 2023MemberDoes anybody know what is involved in changing the gas struts that hold up the rear split glass tailgate on my 2007 3 litre x type estate. They go into the roof, so I’m thinking that maybe the headlining may have to be removed or is there a clever trick so avoid this?
