Electrical cable location

Hi Guy’s I have a Peugeot 206 cc Allura 1.6i. I purchase this car as a project so time isn’t an issue.

it seams to run ok but I’ve found cables that aren’t connected to anything and that is a concern one of the main ones are the cable from earth battery now this is the cable that has the round connector on I did think it would be a starter cable but it starts without the other end connected to anything, there are also connections under the drivers seat but as yet I haven’t checked that as I have a airbag issue which may be the pretensioners. there’s also a small cable from the earth with an L shape connector. can anyone shed some light on these. many thanks in advance.
