How to change headlights / headlamp on TOYOTA AYGO 1 (AB10) [TUTORIAL AUTODOC]

All the parts you need to replace – Headlights for AYGO (WNB1_, KGB1_) and other TOYOTA models

        Headlight for Aygo (AB10) Petrol (68 hp)
      
        Headlight for Aygo (AB10) Diesel (54 hp)
      
        Headlight for Aygo (AB10) Petrol/Petroleum Gas (LPG) (68 hp)

Replacement: headlights – Toyota Aygo AB1. Tools you need:

                        Electronic spray
                      
                        Drive socket # 10 
                      
                        Ratchet wrench
                      
                        Phillips screwdriver
                      
                        Clip removal tool
                      
                        Fender cover

Replacement: headlights – Toyota Aygo AB1. AUTODOC experts recommend:

The replacement procedure is identical for the right and left headlight.
All work should be done with the engine stopped.

Replacement: headlights – Toyota Aygo AB1. Take the following steps:

Step 1

Switch off the ignition.

Step 2

Open the hood.
Step 3

Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.

Step 4

Lift the car using a jack or place it over an inspection pit.
Step 5

Unscrew the lower fasteners of the bumper. Use a drive socket #10. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 6

Unscrew the side fasteners of the bumper. Use a Phillips screwdriver.
Step 7

Remove the bumper clips. Use a clip removal tool.
Step 8

Unscrew the upper fasteners of the bumper. Use a drive socket #10. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 9

Carefully release the bumper from the fasteners.

AUTODOC recommends:
Replacement: headlights – Toyota Aygo AB1. Do not use excessive force when removing the part as this may damage it.
Step 10

Remove the bumper.
Step 11

Unscrew the headlight fasteners. Use a drive socket #10. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 12

Remove the headlight.
Step 13

Unplug the connectors of the headlight bulbs.
Step 14

Treat the connectors of the headlights. Use electronic spray.
Step 15

Plug in the connectors of the headlight bulbs.
Step 16

Install the new headlight.
Step 17

Screw in the headlight fasteners. Use a drive socket #10. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 18

Install the bumper to the mounting seat.
Step 19

Reinstall the bumper clips.
Step 20

Screw in the bumper upper fasteners. Use a drive socket #10. Use a ratchet wrench.

Replacement: headlights – Toyota Aygo AB1. AUTODOC recommends:
To prevent damage to the components, hold the bumper when screwing in the upper fasteners.
Step 21

Screw in the side fasteners of the bumper. Use a Phillips screwdriver.
Step 22

Screw in the lower fasteners of the bumper. Use a drive socket #10. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 23

Lower the car.
Step 24

Switch on the ignition.
Step 25

Check whether the headlights function properly.
Step 26

Switch off the ignition.
Step 27

Remove the fender protection cover. Close the hood.
