Replacement: wheel bearing – Toyota Yaris P1. Tip from AUTODOC experts:
- Do not re-use the bearing assembly of your Toyota Yaris P1 car.
- The wheel hub bearing replacement procedure is identical for both wheels on the same axle.
- All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: wheel bearing – Toyota Yaris P1. Use the following procedure:
- Step 1Secure the wheels with chocks.Step 2Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Use wheel impact socket #21.
- Step 3Raise the rear of the car and secure on supports.Step 4Unscrew the wheel bolts.AUTODOC recommends:Important! Hold the wheel while unscrewing the fastening bolts. Toyota Yaris P1
- Step 5Remove the wheel.
- Step 6Clean the brake drum. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.Step 7Remove the brake drum.Replacement: wheel bearing – Toyota Yaris P1. Tip:Examine the brake drum. Replace it if necessary.
- Step 8Clean the fasteners of the wheel hub bearing. Use WD-40 spray. Use a wire brush.Step 9Unscrew the hub bearing mounting. Use a drive socket #12. Use a tap wrench. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 10Remove the fastening bolts (4 pieces).
- Step 11Remove the hub and the bearing together, since they are a sealed unit. Use a hammer.
- Step 12Treat the fastening bolts. Use a sealant.
- Step 13Clean the hub bearing mounting seat. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.Step 14Install the new wheel hub with a bearing.
