- All the work should be carried out with the ignition switched off.
Replacement: brake caliper bracket – VAUXHALL VIVARO Combi. Use the following procedure:
- Step 1Open the bonnet.Step 2
Loosen the brake fluid reservoir cap. - Step 3
Secure the wheels with chocks. - Step 4
Loosen the wheel fasteners. Use a 19 mm wheel impact socket. Use a tommy bar. - Step 5Raise the vehicle.Warning!If you are using a jack, make sure the car is parked on a hard, flat surface.Make sure to additionally secure the car with jack stands.Step 6
Unscrew the wheel fasteners.Replacement: brake caliper bracket – VAUXHALL VIVARO Combi. AUTODOC recommends:To avoid injury, hold up the wheel when unscrewing the fasteners. - Step 7
Remove the wheel. - Step 8
Clean the brake caliper fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray. - Step 9
Unscrew the brake caliper fasteners. Use a 15 mm combination spanner. Use a 13 mm combination spanner. - Step 10
Remove the fastening bolts. - Step 11
Remove the brake caliper.Replacement: brake caliper bracket – VAUXHALL VIVARO Combi. Tip from AUTODOC experts:Tie the caliper to the suspension or to the body with a wire without disconnecting it from the brake hose to avoid opening the brake line.Make sure that the brake caliper is not hanging from the brake hose.Do not press the brake pedal after the caliper has been removed. This may cause the piston to fall out of the caliper bore resulting in the brake fluid leakage and air entering the system. - Step 12
Remove the brake pads. - Step 13
Clean the brake caliper bracket fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray. - Step 14
Unscrew the brake caliper bracket fasteners. Use a 21 mm socket. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 15
Remove the fastening bolts. - Step 16Remove the brake caliper bracket.Step 17
Clean the caliper bracket mounting seat. Use a wire brush. Use an all-purpose cleaning spray. - Step 18
Install a new brake caliper bracket. - Step 19
Install and screw in the fastening bolts. - Step 20
Tighten the fasteners of the brake caliper bracket. Use a 21 mm socket. Use a torque wrench. Tightening torque: 100 N·m.
